I also remember reading somewhere that the Chinese characters
that surround the JKD emblem were inconsistent with
the way an average Chinese person understands the written language.

My question's are 1. Who found this out?
2. Was there ever any attempt to correct this by anyone
important enough to do so? (Which I guess would mean
changing the original emblem) 3. Do you remember where this was reported?

I found this out when I got several Chinese people to attempt to translate the characters around the original JKD symbol! It is supposed to say "Using no way as way, having no limitation as limitation." They said that it almost made sense, but not quite! They said it was as if it were some attempt at some kind of "fancy version" of the calligraphy or something! I tracked down some original calligraphy on one of Bruce Lee's early certificate designs that looked somewhat similar (not around the yin yang however) and took that to various Chinese people. They could all read it immediately, and yes, it said exactly what the characters around the JKD symbol were supposed to say! That is when I changed the emblem to the correct characters, which is what makes my JKD symbol unique! Now, anytime I see that logo, I know that someone stole it from me, because until I did that, it had never been done!

Did anyone from the Bruce Lee foundation ever contact you to thank you for this information, or did you hear if they
have any plans to ever change it to the right way?
This seems to be a pretty big thing, I would think someone other than myself and you would think so also considering how many people are into JKD and Bruce Lee.

I would appreciate your opinion on this if you have one

To my knowledge, they are pleased to just leave it as it is, especially since that has been in use for so long! That is fine with me, as it gives me something unique!
