How do you build the kick into a cobralike attack? Is there a safe way? If so, can it be attained through slow pace or medium pace? I looked into the Jeet Kune Do books and it looks like a snap is delivered right after the kick, is this possible to gain. Oh yeah Almost all the movies of Bruce Lee he is always utilizing the back kick, also in the movie Exit the Dragon Enter the tiger, there is a sequence where the bruce lookalike says to Bruce Li, practice your back kick.. Hmmm?

practicing slowly has its merits as you can feel what youre doing as it happens, and you can feel if you are doing it right. just make sure you kick with your entire body, not just the foot. maybe try slowly on a wall or bag and see how much power you get into the bag by just raising your leg and moving into the bag, and seeing if you get any rebound into you. once you figure out what works best, then you can start building up speed. the more times you do a kick the better you will get. 1000 times a day you will become better than someone who does 100 times a day, providing you do those 1000 kicks good. squat and deadlift also help, and sprinting too. practice on a heavy bag.
