I've spent years having "flashbacks" to a programme that I watched as a kid, but could never remember the title or much else about it. I finally decided to do something about it recently and here I am. I can't beleive the fan-base.

I used to love it, and was usually in the minority of one at school as most of my friends preferred Magnum PI (don't ask why we compared these two - probably just because they were American).

I haven't been able to find an outlet for DVDs that will play in the UK - if anyone can help, then please let me know.

Here's to 80's TV when it all seemed a lot more fun.

Just to let you know that like yourself I was also a childhood uk fan of Golden Monkey and bought the entire series from this website, it will play ok on your standard multi region dvd player.

Hi, this is Inigo (like "my name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die" from "Princess Bride"), and I´m from Spain. Last week, with my friends, talking about our childhood´s favourite shows on tv, this picture came up to my mind and started ringing some bells. None of my friends would remember a series about a pilot in the pacific with a dog and more stuff, and all of them started thinking that I was making it up or dreaming alive. But yesterday, some words came to me (mono de oro = golden monkey) and went quickly to look it up in internet. And I found you all. I was born in 1977 and this reminds me of my earliest years, and I guess that if I see the episodes again, they may be awful, awkward to me, but anyway, I have just started to download them. Of course the tv was better in those years, but everywhere, in USA, in England, in Spain...everywhere. The Tales of the Golden Monkey, what a big world has been opened before me...

never saw the whole series, would love to own it.
