I remember thinking I was one of perhaps 3 people in the world who remembered. Now I can be part of a community where people not only remember the show, they remember which one was Jake and which one was Jack! OK, there aren't a lot of posts these days, but at least we know we all exist.
For a long time I couldn't log in. I finally gave up and just made a new login account.
This show was just too damned cool. I really miss it. I wish an official DVD set would come out. I'd love to have a perfect quality version. If they don't release one soon I'll just give in and buy the set advertised here.

The DVDs

I have the set you can get from our own beloved Monkey Woman. The picture quality is not great, but the nostalgia factor is huge! I would love to have official ones released, but even with a less-than-perfect picture, this show is still beautiful - the backgrounds, the sets, and of course, the wonderful cast, are all too beautiful not to love looking at even on a transfer from old videotapes. I watched the DVDs with my housemate's 12 year old son, and he loved them too. I was so pleased with the set and all the memories it brings back, I also bought DVD sets as gifts for the two people I knew also remembered the show - my sister and one of my best friends.
If you love the show, and are not too sensitive to less-than-perfect quality (I stop noticing it once I get into the episode), the DVD sets are a treasure.

I'm a bit of a videophile, so picture quality is a big thing for me. I'm not going to wait much longer though. If the studio doesn't at least make an announcement by Christmas I'm just going to buy a set from Monkey Woman.
I miss the show too much to go without just because it's not DVD quality.
