Fisrt of all, i want to introduce that i am not Chinese and i am not the fan of both of Zhou Lie and Lu Yi. I am VietNamese. I know that Chinese have sympathy for Zhou Lie since his acting in HZGG.
I know that Young judge Bao II has been made in 2001, but up to now (April 2003), we (VietNamese) have a chance to watch it on television.
I admit that before it has been shown on TV, I know that the actor of Bao Cheng had been changed, at that time i must say that i am too disappointed. Why? Because i had sympathy for Zhou Lie from his acting of Bao Cheng (i hate him in cast in HZGG - so much sloppy and silly), and i think that Lu Yi can not act as well as Zhou Lie, and that Lu Yi is not as gracious as Zhou Lie. But it is a big mistake!
I know that many said that YJB II is dull, and Lu Yi is utterly boring. But when i watched YJB II, i don't think like the way U think.
I agree that Zhou Lie is funnier than Lu Yi, but it doesn't mean LU Yi is boring. Remember this is not a funny film, i agree that funny factor in a film is very important, but there is no foundation to talk that Lu Yi is boring. About the acting skill, Zhou Lie has his own type of acting and Lu Yi has his own type of acting too. Zhou Lie well followed the script, but was too rude and rigid. Lu Yi has a better looking , he acts more flexibly and self-motivated, more "firing". He showed a burning and light vigor - what Zhou Lie didn't express integrally. I see that Lu Yi acted better than Zhou Lie.
I wonder if you are under a pretty bad case of Lu Yi's acting myopia. I want to see and hear a fair appreciation, you should appraise this thing at its true worth. So you can't say that YJB II is dull! If you were people who usually read detective story, you would realize that the scenarios of YJB II are more interesting, fascinating than YJB I, YJB I's scenarios were a little affected, it was like the both Japanese story Kindaichi and famous detective Conan.
you can't criticize Lu Yi, and i say that YJB II attracts me more. And Lu YI is the best one, according to my opinion.
