You're the one with the book, all I want is the quote from Eddie Arcaro where he admits that he "Hooked" Citation.
Unless you can produce Arcaro's admission on this matter then it's just hearsay which is worth nothing.
Was there a stewards inquiry into the running of that race ? was any jockey charged ? Was Arcaro a crook ? I don't think so.
On the other hand I'll give you a quote from Eddie Arcaro on what he thought of Secretariat :
"Longdon tells me Count Fleet was the greatest... I'm going to tell you Citation was the greatest. It's a matter of opinion. I will say this, though.
I don't think that any horse could have beaten Secretariat on Belmont Day. I've never seen a horse do the things that he did."
