Terms of Use
Many small business owners visit our message boards every day to find out what others are saying. Most post their own messages, contributing to an exciting mix of ideas and opinions. To help preserve an atmosphere of learning and mutual respect, we've laid out some guidelines to help define the boundaries of our community.
- Post thoughtfully.
We encourage posts that express well-reasoned opinions, thoughtful insights, or just brief observations on a market, company, product, or other subject relevant to the forum you're in. CA's, CMA's and CGA's, accountants and bookkeepers are more than welcome, of course, but anyone with ideas and a keyboard can contribute to a good discussion. Some tips on starting a great thread:
- Respond specifically to issues raised in previous posts.
- Don't just ask a question. Share insights.
- Dig up some facts or numbers to support your point.
- No ads, spams, or slams.
The anonymous nature of online communities leads a few posters to believe they can insult or bait others with impunity. Not so on our Forums. We will delete messages that contain the following:
- Advertisements for other web sites and services.
- Chain letters, pyramid schemes, or stock offerings.
- Personal attacks or profanity. Personal attacks include creating usernames to attack other users' identities (i.e. choosing a name almost identical for purposes of impersonation, slamming on someone through your name choice).
- Don't believe everything you read.
Visitors to these boards include everyone from technical trading grandmothers to college students in investment clubs. Some of the messages you'll read here reflect considerable investing experience and insight. Some are the musings of investing beginners. And some of these messages may be unintentionally, or even intentionally, untrue. The bottom line: Use your good judgment when deciding how to use and evaluate the opinions and data offered here by others. If you wish to act on information found on the QuickBooks User to User group, conduct your own research before making any financial decisions.
- The legalese.
By becoming a member of the Intuit community, you agree that Intuit will not be liable for any errors or omissions in postings or other third-party content or for any results obtained from the use of such information. Specifically, you agree not to:

Please help us keep this community honest, tolerant, and considerate. Send the date and location (which message board) of any offending messages to QB_forum@intuit.com Repeat offenders will be contacted by e-mail and eventually banned from the message board system. If violations are egregious (repeated stock offerings or wide-scale spamming), we will contact the appropriate authorities.
