For the past ten years
Deb U has functioned as an Internet forum
organization without a formal set of posting rules. We have during that time
used only common Internet courtesy guidelines and the good common sense of
those who use the forums to keep Deb U a
friendly, open community.
Unfortunately, recent events make it clear that depending on the individual
maturity, common sense, and knowledge of common Internet courtesy of our
family members is not enough to keep our boards a friendly, safe and
enjoyable place to meet and play. It is with great reluctance and
disappointment that the Board Owner, the moderators and the entire
Deb U Council have agreed to draw up and
publish a set of Rules and Regulations for posting on the
Deb U system of message boards. These
rules will state the types of posts that will and not be allowed and the
penalties that will be assessed if the rules are broken.
All members of the forum are expected to abide by these rules.
The webmaster, administrator and
moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any
topic at any time should they see fit without notification should they deem
it necessary
Every member on this board is expected to act with maturity and respect.
There are certain attitudes that will simply not be tolerated:
Bigotry/Racism- No slur is ever to be used anywhere on this forum.
Anyone found treating a member poorly due to their race, sexual orientation,
religion, or lifestyle choices will be banned.
Flaming and Insults - There is no need to have public name-calling
and fights in public. This includes slandering other members [telling lies
about them], public witch hunts, or anything else that could be viewed as an
attack. [The webmaster, administrator and
moderators of this forum are the final arbiters of what is or is not
considered an attack. Period.]
New Topic Posts [NTP's] will be
provided on a monthly basis. In an effort to keep
Deb U a fun place to play we ask that you
please do not post merely to complain about something people do, something
people have done to you, or problems in your daily life. We are not equipped
to help you with your problems, and you should instead discuss them with
your friends and family.
These NTP's will offer members the
opportunity to share real life problems and ask for support from
friends/forum family. If there is something that you really need to share
post under one of these new topics. Do not post current events or daily news
items unless they relate specifically to forum members,
HTLJ, and X:WP
actors.
"Vents and Concerns" Post will offer members the opportunity
to share real life problems and ask for support from your friends/forum
family.
"Triumphs and Brags" Post will be the perfect place each month to
share your good news with everyone.
Leaving Posts - We do not like to see our members leave, of course,
but we must keep drama away. If you do continue to make posts to say you are
leaving, the decision will no longer be in your hands and you will be
removed from the forum.
Violation of these rules will result in the following:
Improper posting of topics within a l year time period
1st offense = warning
2nd offense = l month suspension
3rd offense = 3 month suspension
4th offense = banned from the forum
Attacking other forum members
First attack = warning
Second attack = 3 month suspension
Third attack = banned from forum
And the best rule of all ...have FUN!
