Many members have found it very helpful to be able to share a brief synopsis of their story with others on the board. Since each post a member makes contains a hyperlink to their profile, it is very convienient to add your story to your profile to share with others.
It is often easiest to write your story in a word processor program such as Microsoft Word, or a text editor such as Notepad. Although your story may be a long as you wish, it must be stored on one 'line' and without any 'returns' or 'line breaks'. The text will be automatically wrapped when it is viewed. If you want to form paragraphs in your story, you must do so by adding the HTML code '<P>' at the place you want to begin a new paragaph. You can use your computer's "cut and paste" capability to place the story in your profile.
After you have written your story, log into the Network54 system if you have not already done so. You may click the following login link to open a new window for completing this process.

Next, select the text of your story where you drafted it, copy it, then use your mouse to click the cursor on the box to the right of "Statement". Paste your story into the box. The paste will only add the text upto the first 'return' or 'line break' in your text. If you don't see your entire text, then remove the offending returns and recopy it. Also, make sure to check the box "Allow this profile information to be viewed by those interested in me online.", while also making sure that the other information in your profile is OK to be publically viewed.
Move to the bottom of the form and press "Save Changes". You can review your new profile bye returning to your profile and clicking the link shown above the name entry field.
