Presenting...

  The Boys!!!

The Boys are the six brothers of Marigold and Isabella. Their names are Nicodemus, Templeton, Rizzo, Oshkosh, Buckwheat, and Fletcher, and I always call them "my little boys." Their mommy was a beige hooded rat and their daddy was a wild rat! All of the boys have the handsome coloring of their daddy. They are agouti, as you can see, and are about 15 months old. Here are some pictures of my boys, along with a little bit about each one:

Nicodemus

Nicodemus is the sweetest and chubbiest of his brothers. He is always the first to snatch little pieces of my lunch and eat them. This is a picture of him going on an "adventure" in his harness. He is very patient and tolerant of everything, and for a while I thought he was mute because I never heard him squeak! He finally did when I gave him a bath.

Templeton

"A rat crossing, really? I don't see any rats around here..."

Templeton is another sweet little boy, and he loves to be clean and well-groomed. He seems to like baths, doesn't object when I trim his toenails, and loves to be scratched around the ears. He is very inquisitive and friendly, and his favorite treat is carrot pieces. It appears that Templeton has overthrown Buckwheat, and is now the dominant rat! I'm not positive that he has become completely dominant, but it sure seems that way!

Rizzo

Rizzo, as you can see, is a very smart little guy. In this picture he is reading the dictionary. Or at least he would be... if he could read. It's hard to see in this picture, but he has some lovely chestnut color around his ears! He is the runt of the litter, and has always been a bit smaller than his brothers. Unfortunately he's starting to show signs of myco, his eyes are runny and he has started sneezing a little.

Oshkosh

Here is Oshkosh inspecting some shiny rocks. He is a quiet boy who likes to keep to himself. His best frineds are rats, but he likes people too (especially people who give him treats!). His hobbies are laying in a rat pile, exploring the Rat Room, and running away from me when I try to take pictures.

Buckwheat

Buckwheat has always been the dominant rat, but it seems that he has been overthrown by Templeton! Buckwheat is very embarrassed by this, and is determined to take back his throne. He's quite a stud muffin, is the biggest of his brothers, and he thinks he's the smartest too. He likes to go on adventures in his harness, is very friendly, and thinks he should be elected President. Buckwheat is always the first one out of the cage and he first one to get in trouble too! He is such a ham, whenever I have my camera out he sits right in front of it and waits for me to take his picture. Meanwhile his camera-shy brothers all run away... so  have about 400 pictures of Buckwheat and three of Rizzo.

Fletcher

Unfortunately, Fletcher is camera-shy, but I finally got a good ppicture of him! Yes, he is sitting in a flowerpot. Although he is a scardey-rat, he really is very smart. Not only did he figure out how to escape from his carrying cage, but he led all of his brothers out too! FIVE times!!! And of course I had to catch them all... Naughty Fletcher! According to Rizzo, Fletcher has also hacked into top-secret government websites... but I don't have any real evidence of that.

Note: All of these rats are single and looking for girlfriends!!! If you live on Long Island (or are willing to travel) and have a girl rat that you want to breed, e-mail me at BlueMoonGoddess@att.net. !
