War Against the Dead by Modern European Taliban...
http://www.decani.yunet.com/wad.html
The following photos were taken in a few Serb Orthodox villages near Pec
(Western part of Kosovo Province): Brestovik, Berkovo and Siga during the second
half of 2001. They illustrate desecration of Orthodox Christian cemeteries by
Kosovo Albanian vandals and extremists. These scenes of horror and pain do not
show the war-time damage and vandalism but are testimony to the post-war
systematic destruction of everything which is Serb and Christian in this region.
Despite the more than 100 destroyed and heavily damaged Orthodox churches in
Kosovo and Metohija, not many people in the world are aware that in addition to
a visible war against the living Serbs and their culture, an invisible and
incomprehensible war against the dead is being waged by Kosovo Albanian vandals,
who are destroying and desecrating Serb cemeteries all over the Province despite
the presence of NATO led troops and the UN Mission.
(...)
The message sent by destroyed Serb villages, desecrated cemeteries and
churches is that there is no more place even for dead Serbs in Kosovo, not to
mention the living ones. While UN and KFOR officials in Pristina boastfully
speak of the progress of democracy, Kosovo Albanian extremists continue to
destroy with impunity all remaining traces of Serb existence and culture in the
region turning the Province with centuries long Christian tradition into almost
an exclusively Islamicized territory.

Cultural Genocide in Kossovo - VirtualANI
NATO's 50th Birthday Dinner
http://www.virtualani.freeserve.co.uk/history/history3/kossovo.htm
Even before the
American led elimination of Kossovo's 250,000 non-Albanians had been completed,
that region's priceless collection of medieval churches and monasteries had
begun to be destroyed. Many of these buildings were exceptionally important, not
only for their intrinsic beauty, but because they were a bridge between the
medieval architecture of eastern and western Europe - between the Byzantine and
Romanesque styles.
By the end of 1999 at least 55 Serbian Orthodox churches had been demolished
or badly damaged according to NATO's own figures - the figure was over 70
according to Serbian sources. To date (August 2000) the official (NATO)
figure is over 100 churches destroyed or seriously damaged. Other
non-Albanian monuments - such as graveyards, statues, war memorials - have also
been levelled. There have also been reports of historic Ottoman mosques and
graveyards in Kossovo being destroyed by Saudi backed Islamic fundamentalists
who consider them to be creations of an "impure" branch of Islam.

Albanian extremists blew up two Orthodox churches at the villages of Ljubovo and
Djurakovic, destroying the first and damaging the second, a spokesman for the
United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo /UNMIK/ Andre Anjeli

CULTURAL GENOCIDE:
THE DESTRUCTION OF SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCHES AND MONASTERIES IN KOSOVO AND
METOHIJA BY NATO, KFOR, UNMIC AND THE SO-CALLED "KLA"
by Milos Raickovich
Milos Raickovich, a Serbian-American composer and anti-war activist, spoke on
the destruction of churches and cultural sites in occupied Kosovo and Metohija,
a crime against humanity.
The official name of the Serbian province under NATO occupation is not simply
Kosovo, as it is referred to by the mainstream media, but rather Kosovo and
Metohija. Sometimes, Kosovo and Metohija is abbreviated as a compound word,
Kosmet. The word Kosovo comes from Serbian, Kosovo Polje, or The Field of the
Blackbirds, while Metohija means The Land of the Monasteries. This is extremely
important. By dropping Metohija from the region’s name, NATO propaganda and
the mainstream media are concealing the fact that this is the land where 1400
Serbian medieval churches and monasteries are to be found. These shrines are
masterpieces of European and Byzantine architecture, as well as fresco painting.
In other words, Serbs and other ethnic groups are not only being expelled from
Kosmet, but the genuine historical name of the region, Kosovo and Metohija, is
being erased.
This kind of oversimplification is an imperialist game. Once the truncated name,
Kosovo or, as the KLA calls it, Kosova, is introduced, next comes the concept of
the Kosovars. By falsely naming Albanians after the region, NATO propaganda
suggests that the Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija are the only historical
people of the region, and that they hold an exclusive claim to it. As in Krajina
and in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbs are once again presented as foreigners in
their own homeland.
The imperialist occupation has brought with it cultural genocide. Hundreds of
thousands of Serbs, Roma, Jews, Turks, Egyptians, Goranis, Slavic Muslims,
pro-Yugoslav Albanians and others have been expelled from Kosovo and Metohija
under NATO supervision. In order to erase all trace of Serbs, the terrorist
"KLA" has launched a systematic campaign to destroy Serbian churches
and monasteries by first robbing and looting them of icons, manuscripts and
other relics, then by desecrating, burning and mining these monuments and houses
of worship, until they are finally demolished.
To this day, the number of shrines that have been destroyed is unknown, because
many are located in areas to which Serbian clergy has no access, due to the
reign of terror imposed by the "KLA" and NATO. The number of
documented cases of destruction, according to the evidence collected as of May
2000, was approximately 100 churches and monasteries destroyed and desecrated.
Most of these shrines were destroyed in the U.S., Italian and German zones,
while the rate of destruction is slightly less in the zones controlled by the
British and French. To sum up, more Serbian Orthodox churches and monasteries
were destroyed in the first year of NATO occupation than during 500 years of the
Ottoman Empire’s occupation of Serbia.
NATO propaganda often suggests that the presence of the KFOR troops is the only
guarantee for the protection of cultural sites in Kosovo and Metohija. Sheer
hypocrisy! NATO bombs struck some of these holy sites directly, and NATO bombs
fell close enough to others to shake their foundations. NATO also brought "KLA"
terrorists into Kosovo and Metohija. This is an ongoing crime against the whole
region and its people. It is cultural genocide.
The only way to stop the destruction is by the restoration of a multicultural
society under the protection of the Serbian and Yugoslav authorities. Let us
hope that Vietnam will not be repeated here, and that NATO, KFOR, SFOR, UNMIC
and the "KLA" terrorists will disband and withdraw from the region
before they are all defeated and expelled by the people of the Balkans.
Long live multicultural Serbia and all of its 27 minorities! Long live
Yugoslavia!

Angered at being constantly threatened by
the same enemy repeatedly, this time Rome wrote no treaty with Carthage. To
ensure that the Carthaginians never threatened them again,
the
Romans killed or enslaved the population of Carthage, physically destroyed the
city and ploughed over the ruins, putting salt into the earth so that nothing
would grow there again.
http://www.stormfront.org/whitehistory/hwr12.htm
Note that this is admitted by a source that exhumes the following regarding
miscegenation (bottom of the page):
The path followed by Rome mirrored
that followed by Sumeria, the Near East, Egypt and Greece. All these
civilizations remained intact as long as the society which created them remained
homogeneous.
As soon as these societies lost their
homogeneity and became multi-racial, the very nature of the societies changed
and the original civilizations disappeared. Rome would prove to be no exception
to this rule.

Continuing from above, read what
"White Nationalists" think about what racism is... (Or maybe they mean
to say "racialism"?)
http://www.stormfront.org/whitenat/racism.htm
Folks, making sweeping
generalizations about groups of people on the racial level has to be condemned.
Most such generalizations put down another group, and this is more often the
case of Caucasians against Negroid folks than vice versa. "Daring" to
condemn such is no more taking liberty than is condemning sweeping
generalizations against nations within the Caucasoid race (Irish, Italians,
etc.)... Whereas it is more possible to characterize small groups, such as
tribes and even families, this is not done, and the more risky venue when it
comes to accuracy is taken and African persons as well as Asiatic ones are put
down - put down because, in the same way, comparing the "competence"
and like among families and/or tribes will be putting down the less privileged
(less privileged whether economically or intellectually).
Back to Carthage - so many
people were enslaved:
The Romans plowed through and leveled everything including houses
and walls. Then they sowed salt on the fields (to guarantee that nothing would
ever grow there again) and 50,000 people were sold into slavery. Thus Rome made
certain that she would have no rival in the West.
http://www.bible-history.com/rome/RomeThe_Third_Punic_War.htm
Actually, it is not certain that the salting took place:
It is alledged that the Roman army then turned up stones, plowed
the land over, and salted it.** By salting it, they guaranteed that no Carthage
could rise up from the ruins of the old. This tale has been told for many years
however, there is debate as to whether the Romans did indeed salt the earth. The
territory was made into the Roman province of Africa.
http://www.dl.ket.org/latin2/historia/republic/punic4.htm
But - guess what - slavery and demolition did take place!
Since 5 September 1999
Russia has been engaged in renewed aggression against the small Caucasian nation
of the Chechen people. Approximately 400,000 Chechens have fled their homes
under the onslaught of Russian bombardment, many for the second time in five
years. Mosques, hospitals, market places and refugee convoys have all been
attacked. According to Chechen government estimates, between 5.9.1999 and
1.11.1999 over 3,000 people were killed by bombs and shells. No-one has
counted how many have perished from exhaustion and hunger. By their new war, the
continuation of their genocide of 1994-96, the government of Yeltsin and Putin
has demonstrated one thing clearly: the Stalinist tradition has survived intact
in Russia.
The
Chechen people must likewise give up their unlawful practices of hostage-taking
and trafficking in human beings and distance themselves from their extremist
military commanders. The Society for Threatened Peoples condemns
the atrocity of the bombings carried out in Moscow and Volgodonsk, whoever they
may have been committed, as well as Russia's terror bombing of Chechnya.
Genocide is the most heinous crime of which human beings are capable. This
is a matter on which there can be no compromise. Extremists such as
Hattab, Raduyev and Bassayev are popular because of the courage they have shown
in fighting the criminal activities of the Russians in Chechnya. However
they have brought ruin to Chechnya. The Russian human rights activitist
Sergei Kovalyov was right when he called for the Chechens to build themselves a
humane legal system: "They must renounce the barbaric system of Sharia law.
People do not chop hands and feet off."
http://www.gfbv.de/gfbv_e/docus/russ_e.htm
And then people object to Turkish operations in northern Iraq, the cesspit
where Kurdish terrorists (formerly known as the PKK - pe-ka-ka, bok-kaka), the
kinds of hýrtapoz who stop buses and ask passengers for visas to Kurdistan and
then just shoot everyone, thrive. Of course, there is nothing objectionable in
Russia's bombing Chechnya back to the Stone Age because of the 1999 assault in
Dagestan or the American strike on Afghanistan following 9/11. Ho-hum,

The statement of the representative of MEJLIS OF THE CRIMEAN TATAR PEOPLE at
the 12th session of the Working Group on the Indigenous population to the U.N.O.
July 1994
Crimean Tatars - the Indigenous People of Crimea have been formed on the
territory of the peninsula during a thousand years as the result of
interrelation and mixing of aboriginals and different tribes, settled in the
Crimea. The State system of Crimean Tatar people - the Crimean Khanate - was
abolished in 1783 as a result of annexation of the Crimea by the Russian empire.
Since that time the Indigenous People have become the object of innumerable
repressions, political, economic, cultural, religious and other opressions on
the Russian empire's part and the communist regime then. The total population
was reduced from 2.5 million in 1783 to 130,000 in 1921, owing to the permanent
violence, while its territory was thoroughly settled by colonists. In May 1944,
the Crimean Tatar people were subjected to total deportation from the Crimea to
the regions of Central Asia, Kazakhstan, Ural and Siberia. It was an act of
genocide and as a result of it more than 46% total Crimean Tatar's population
was eliminated because of violence, hunger and drudgery. Hundreds of thousands
of Crimean Tatars were deprived of their Homeland, habitation, property and
lands.

The Crimean Tatars - HISTORY AND CULTURE OF THE CRIMEAN TATARS ON THE
INTERNET
After the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Empire in the 18th century,
the Crimean Khanate stopped existing. From that time until the tragic events of
1944, hundreds of thousands of Crimean Tatars were compelled to abandon their
native land. At the same time, the historical and cultural heritage of the
people was destroyed. By the beginning of World War I, the Crimean Tatars had
been transformed into an ethnic minority on their native land. The final step in
this long-term oppression and genocide was taken by the Soviet Government on 18
May 1944. On this day, the whole nation was deported to remote regions of
Central Asia. This brutal and inhuman action resulted in the death of thousands
of people. Shortly thereafter, all the place names on the peninsula, somehow
connected to the Crimean Tatars, were changed. All books in the Crimean Tatar
language were burnt, and schools and libraries were closed.

MOMENTS IN HISTORY
Presented by
Bill 'Mastermind' Fitzgerald®
#7 -The Fourth Crusade 1202-1204
www.users.bigpond.com/billmastermind/moments07.htm
(...) Those Venetians drove a hard bargain.
They had made great profits from their trade with the Muslims in Egypt and the
Holy Land. But they were always open to better offers. They secretly assured the
Sultan of Egypt that they had no intention of leading the Crusaders through his
country. I wonder if the Sultan believed them?
When the Crusaders eventually arrived in Venice for their trip to the Holy Land
they were short of the specified amount of cash demanded by the Venetians. So
instead of going directly to the Holy Land via Egypt as they had expected to do
(and as the Venetians had assured the Sultan of Egypt they would not do) the
Venetians changed the plans.
They refused to transport the Crusaders to Egypt because of the shortfall in the
money demanded of them. However, being good businessmen they had a negotiating
point; they would relent on one condition. The Venetian Doge, Dandolo,
ninety-five years old and totally blind, but he still drove a hard bargain,
demanding that the Crusaders make up the deficit by helping him to seize the
Adriatic coastal city of Zara from Hungary. When the Pope heard of this corrupt
bargain he was furious. He threatened to excommunicate the Crusaders if they
agreed to it.
The lure of booty, however, was apparently too strong to resist. The
Crusaders ignored the Pope’s threat and joined the Venetians in taking Zara
from the Hungarians. Only then did the Crusaders reply to the Pope, asking for
his forgiveness! He agreed but only if they returned their booty. They accepted
his forgiveness and kept the booty!
The Ventians had a second part to their plan, unbeknownst to the
Crusaders, of course. This was even more audacious and unscrupulous. They
intended to capture the very heart of the Byzantine Empire, Constantinople
itself! This would at least see them honoring one pledge, not to bring the
Crusaders through Egypt! (...)

(From the Medieval Source Book)
. . . How shall I begin to tell of the deeds wrought by these nefarious
men! Alas, the images, which ought to have been adored, were trodden under foot!
Alas, the relics of the holy martyrs were thrown into unclean places! Then was
se en what one shudders to hear, namely, the divine body and blood of Christ was
spilled upon the ground or thrown about. They snatched the precious reliquaries,
thrust into their bosoms the ornaments which these contained, and used the
broken remnants for pans and drinking cups,-precursors of Anti-Christ, authors
and heralds of his nefarious deeds which we momentarily expect. Manifestly,
indeed, by that race then, just as formerly, Christ was robbed and insulted and
His garments were divided by lot; only one thing was lacking, that His side,
pierced bv a spear, should pour rivers of divine blood on the ground.
Nor can the violation of the Great Church [note: Hagia Sophia] be listened to
with equanimity. For the sacred altar, formed of all kinds of precious materials
and admired by the whole world, was broken into bits and distributed among the
soldiers, as was all the other sacred wealth of so great and infinite splendor.
When the sacred vases and utensils of unsurpassable art and grace and rare
material, and the fine silver, wrought with gold, which encircled the screen of
the tribunal and the ambo, of admirable workmanship, and the door and many other
ornaments, were to be borne away as booty, mules and saddled horses were led to
the very sanctuary of the temple. Some of these which were unable to keep their
footing on the splendid and slippery pavement, were stabbed when they fell, so
that the sacred pavement was polluted with blood and filth.
Nay more, a certain harlot, a sharer in their guilt, a minister of the furies, a
servant of the demons, a worker of incantations and poisonings, insulting
Christ, sat in the patriarch's seat, singing an obscene song and dancing
frequently. Nor, indeed, were these crimes committed and others left undone, on
the ground that these were of lesser guilt, the others of greater. But with one
consent all the most heinous sins and crimes were committed by all with equal
zeal. Could those, who showed so great madness against God Himself, have spared
the honorable matrons and maidens or the virgins consecrated to God?
Nothing was more difficult and laborious than to soften by prayers, to render
benevolent, these wrathful barbarians, vomiting forth bile at every unpleasing
word, so that nothing failed to inflame their fury. Whoever attempted it was
derided as insane and a man of intemperate language. Often they drew their
daggers against any one ivho opposed them at all or hindered their demands.
No one was without a share in the grief. In the alleys, in the streets, in the
temples, complaints, weeping, lamentations, grief, the groaning of men, the
shrieks of women, wounds, rape, captivity, the separation of those most closely
united. Nobles wandered about ignominiously, those of venerable age in tears,
the rich in poverty. Thus it was in the streets, on the corners, in the temple,
in the dens, for no place remained unassailed or defended the suppliants. All
places everywhere were filled full of all kinds of crime. Oh, immortal God, how
great the afflictions of the men, bow great the distress!
Catholic perspective - good reading!
Reflections on the Sack of Constantinople in 1204 and Lesser-Known
Byzantine Atrocities
http://ic.net/~erasmus/RAZ291.HTM
Not only do you find the
accounts of the victims -
Eastern Christendom has never forgotten those three appalling days of pillage
. . . What shocked the Greeks more than anything was the wanton and systematic
sacrilege of the Crusaders. How could men who had specially dedicated themselves
to God's service treat the things of God in such a way? As the Byzantines
watched the Crusaders tear to pieces the altar and icon screen in the Church of
the Holy Wisdom, and set prostitutes on the Patriarch's throne, they must have
felt that those who did such things were not Christians in the same sense as
themselves . . .
Can we wonder if the Greeks after 1204 also looked on the Latins as profani?
Christians in the west still do not realize how deep is the disgust and how
lasting the horror with which Orthodox regard actions such as the sack of
Constantinople by the Crusaders.
{Ware, The Orthodox Church, NY: Penguin Books, revised 1980 edition, p. 69}
The sack that followed was one of the worst in all of history . . . No man,
woman or child was safe from the ravagers. Robbery and rape were almost
universal, mindless destruction widespread. Westerners . . . killed
indiscriminately, without mercy or restraint . . . For this to have been done by
crusaders - men actually wearing the Cross of Christ - was an ineffaceable
disgrace . . . The Greeks never forgot the sack of Constantinople in 1204; its
memory, more than anything else, has prevented the healing of the Greek schism
from that day to this, despite several major efforts at reunion.
{The Glory of Christendom, Front Royal, VA: Christendom Press, 1993, p. 157-158}
These "soldiers of Christ" who should have turned their swords against
the infidel have steeped them in Christian blood, sparing neither religion, nor
age, nor sex . . . They stripped the altars of silver, violated the sanctuaries,
robbed icons and crosses and relics . . . The Latins have given example only of
perversity and works of darkness. No wonder the Greeks call them dogs!"
{cited in Carroll, ibid., p. 158; from Mann, Popes of the Middle Ages, vol. 12,
pp. 266-267}
... but you also get the "background"...
Horrible and utterly indefensible as the sack was, it should in justice be
remembered that it was not totally unprovoked; more than once (as in the
massacre of 1182) the Greeks of Constantinople had treated the Latins there as
they were now being treated . . . Historians who wax eloquent and indignant -
with considerable reason - about the sack of Constantinople . . . rarely
if ever mention the massacre of the westerners in Constantinople in 1182
. . . a nightmarish massacre of thousands [about 2000 Greeks were killed in
Constantinople in 1204, according to secular historian Will Durant: The Age of
Faith, NY: Simon & Schuster, 1950, p. 605], . . . in
which the slaughterers spared neither women nor children, neither old nor sick,
neither priest nor monk. Cardinal John, the Pope's representative, was
beheaded and his head was dragged through the streets at the tail of a dog;
children were cut out of their mother's wombs; bodies of dead Westerners
were exhumed and abused; some 4,000 who escaped death were sold into slavery to
the Turks.
{Carroll, ibid., pp. 157, 131}
Each . . . must look back at the past with sorrow and repentance. Both sides
must in honesty acknowledge that they could and should have done more to prevent
the schism. Both sides were guilty of mistakes on the human level. Orthodox,
for example, must blame themselves for the pride and contempt with which during
the Byzantine period they regarded the west; they must blame themselves for
incidents such as the riot of 1182, when many Latin residents at Constantinople
were massacred by the Byzantine populace.
{Ware, ibid., p. 70}
In 1171, on the orders or at least with the tacit approval of the Byzantine
government, thousands of Venetians in the Eastern empire had been killed,
mutilated, or arrested and held for years in prison.
{Carroll, ibid., p. 150}
[In 1188] Frederick Barbarossa . . . requested permission of the Eastern
Emperor, Isaac II Angelus, for passage of his army through Byzantine dominions
on the way to the Holy Land, and for the right to purchase food for his troops
within them. Isaac said he agreed . . . but in fact Isaac was resolved to oppose
the passage of the crusaders, and made contact with Saladin [the Muslim
commander] to concert plans "to delay and destroy the German army."
About this "Byzantine treachery" there is no doubt; even the many
modern Western historians sympathetic to Byzantium and hostile to the Crusades
have to admit it [e.g., Emperor Isaac, in 1187, had written Saladin to
congratulate him for his great achievement of re-taking Jerusalem from the Latin
crusaders] . . .
[Frederick's envoys, imprisoned for a time] returned to Frederick . . . with
infuriating (and accurate) reports of the Byzantine alliance with Saladin, plans
to destroy the crusading army as it crossed the Dardanelles, and the
violent anti-Western attitude of Patriarch Dositheus of Constantinople, who had offered
unconditional absolution to any Greek killing a Westerner. Frederick
passed on this information to his son Henry, . . . to ask the Pope's approval
for a crusade against the Eastern Empire because of its treachery and dealings
with the enemy. No Papal approval was given and Frederick soon thought better of
the idea . . . Though a war against Christians was indubitably a perversion of
the crusading ideal, Emperor Isaac's acts against the crusaders had clearly been
acts of war . . .
Everything that the Fourth Crusade later did to
Christendom's discredit, Frederick Barbarossa refused to do, though he was
directly provoked as the leaders of the Fourth Crusade never were.
The extent of Byzantine provocation of the Third Crusade is obvious from the
sequence of events. It would be a long time before anyone in the West would
trust them again.
{Carroll, ibid., pp. 130, 132-133}
More:
My friend William Klimon, an expert on Orthodoxy (who became a "Greek
Catholic" on May 20, 1998), adds some relevant thoughts:
[name] wrote in message . . .
I cannot think of any incident in history in which Orthodox have invaded Roman
Catholic territories and done anything even remotely like the atrocities
committed by Roman Catholics in the East during the crusades.
Oh, I can. In May of 536, the Byzantine Army of Belisarius laid siege to,
captured, and sacked Naples:
Belisarius had warned the Neapolitans at the beginning of the siege that
if they put up any resistance he would be unable to restrain his army--which,
he reminded them, was largely composed of semi-savage barbarians--from the
murder, rapine and pillage which they would consider their just reward after
the capture of the city. But the warning had been ignored, and the miserable
citizens now paid the price of their heroism. It was many hours before
Belisarius was able to persuade his motley hordes of Alans and Isaurians,
Herulians and Huns--these last the most terrifying of all time, being pagans,
they had no compunction in burning down the churches in which their intended
victims had sought asylum--to put up their swords and spears and return to
their various camps.

'Tis oft said that those who have been subjected to
genocide will commit
genocide against others - the most popular example of which is cited as Israelis
against Palestinians for what was done to the Jews... To this effect, Serbs
"justified" their crimes through "revenge" for what was done
to them by the Ustashe and Muslims during World War II.
<I can't find this one file where a Serbian
concentration camp leader or such from Omarska confessed and
"justified" the rape of Muslim and Croat women and torture and
murder of men with World War II history - waaailll!!!!!! This will have to
do: >
I heard beating and yelling.... At times it sounded as if wood were being
shattered, but those were bones that were being broken.
...When they opened the door ..., they started yelling at us, "Ustasa
slut, see what we do to them!" ...I saw two piles of blood
and flesh in the corner. The two men were so horribly beaten that they no
longer had the form of human beings.7

The Defence lawyer for Bosnian Serb Mladjo Radic, accused of crimes in
the Omarska concentration camp, said last week that Bosnian war
outrages could be attributed to "centuries-old hatred" among its
peoples.

Yet, from the same Catholic-written article above:
It is interesting to read that the original Serbians were of the Latin rite
and within Roman jurisdiction. Byzantine chicanery took them out of that,
though. Crimes by Serbians against the Croatians far predate the reverse.
